Why fleets still struggle

The cost of how it’s done today

Paper logbooks are slow to review from shore, and corrections are hard to audit—exactly the weakness inspectors probe.

The traditional approach

Scanned logbook pages or a standalone e-log that does not connect to fleet reporting or environmental data.

Deck & Engine Logbooks: fleet dashboard view

Monday with WaterTight

What changes when this is under control

Configurable deck and engine logbooks with templates, watch lines, ballast and stability, and a lock-and-correct workflow—plus optional MGN 690 electronic record book mode with amendment history and export.

Time back

Templates and parameter catalogues speed entry, and shore reviews the fleet without waiting for scanned pages.

Less waste

One configurable logbook replaces printed books and standalone e-log licences.

Lower risk

Master lock and versioned corrections create a defensible record, with ERB mode adding a no-delete amendment history.

Questions before you commit

Can masters lock logbook entries?
Yes. Deck and engine logbook lock permissions control day locking. ERB mode adds master approval and A.916 coverage checks.
Is MGN 690 compliance supported?
Optional ERB mode provides amendment history, a no-delete policy, PDF/XML export, and A.916 templates. UK type approval is a separate certification step and remains your responsibility.
Can shore review logbooks remotely?
Yes. A fleet-wide logbook view lets superintendents review entries without waiting for scanned pages.
How are corrections handled?
Corrections are versioned with a reason; in ERB mode originals are retained under a no-delete policy for audit.
